Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 7, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how PlugSof (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit our website at plugsof.com (the “Site”), create an account, or purchase and use our products. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

By using our Site or purchasing a product, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account, make a purchase, or contact our support team, you may provide the following information:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and password when you register for an account on our Site.
  • Billing Information: Your billing address, company name (if applicable), and VAT/tax identification number. Note that your payment card details are collected and processed directly by Paddle (our payment partner) and are never stored on our servers.
  • Communications: Any messages, questions, or feedback you send to us through email or our contact page.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our Site, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • Device and Browser Data: Your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, and device type.
  • Usage Data: Pages you visit, time spent on each page, links you click, and the referring URL that brought you to our Site.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how our Site is used. See Section 9 for details.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from Paddle when you complete a purchase, including your transaction history, payment status, and subscription details. This information is used solely to fulfill your order and manage your account.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing Our Services: To create and manage your account, process your purchases, deliver license keys, and give you access to SaaS products you subscribe to.
  • Customer Support: To respond to your questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide assistance with your account or products.
  • Transactional Communications: To send you order confirmations, subscription renewal notices, payment receipts, and important service updates related to your account.
  • Security and Fraud Prevention: To detect, prevent, and investigate fraudulent transactions, unauthorized access, and other potentially harmful activities.
  • Site Improvement: To understand how visitors use our Site so we can improve its design, functionality, and performance.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal obligations, including tax and financial reporting requirements.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Performance of a Contract: Processing necessary to fulfill our obligations to you, such as delivering products you purchase and managing your subscription.
  • Legitimate Interest: Processing that supports our reasonable business interests, such as improving our products, securing our systems, and preventing fraud — as long as your rights are not overridden.
  • Legal Obligation: Processing required to comply with applicable laws, including tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
  • Consent: When we process data based on your consent (for example, optional communications), you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at support@plugsof.com.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We share your information with a limited number of trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our business. Each provider only receives the data necessary to perform their specific function:

  • Paddle.com Market Limited (Paddle): Paddle is our Merchant of Record and processes all payments, handles tax calculations, issues invoices, and manages refund requests on our behalf. When you make a purchase, Paddle collects your payment information directly. You can review Paddle’s privacy practices at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
  • Supabase: We use Supabase for secure database hosting and user authentication. Your account information and license data are stored in encrypted databases managed by Supabase.
  • Cloudflare: We use Cloudflare for content delivery, DDoS protection, and website performance optimization. Cloudflare may process your IP address and request data to provide these services.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third parties beyond what is described above. If we engage additional service providers in the future, we will update this policy accordingly.

6. International Data Transfers

PlugSof is based in the United States, and our service providers may store and process data in various locations around the world. If you are located outside the United States, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries that have different data protection standards than your country of residence.

Where required by law (such as the GDPR), we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or equivalent mechanisms recognized by applicable data protection authorities.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as it is needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

  • Account Data: Retained for as long as your account remains active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal information within 90 days, unless we are legally required to retain it.
  • Transaction Records: Retained for a minimum of 7 years, as required by tax and financial regulations.
  • Support Communications: Retained for up to 3 years after the last interaction to help us provide consistent support and resolve potential disputes.
  • Server Logs: Technical logs, including IP addresses and usage data, are automatically purged after 90 days.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right of Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): You can request that we delete your personal data, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can request that we provide your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to Object: You can object to our processing of your personal data where we rely on legitimate interest as the legal basis.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can ask us to temporarily limit how we use your data while we address a concern you have raised.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@plugsof.com. We will respond to all requests within 30 days. If we need additional time, we will inform you of the reason for the delay.

California Residents (CCPA): If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell your personal data. To submit a request, contact us at support@plugsof.com.

9. Cookies

Our Site uses a small number of cookies to function properly:

  • Essential Cookies: These are required for the Site to work. They handle session management, authentication, and security. You cannot opt out of essential cookies without disabling core Site functionality.
  • Functional Cookies: These remember your preferences, such as your language or display settings, to improve your experience.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not participate in third-party ad networks. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, but doing so may impact certain features of the Site.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our products and services are designed for business use and are not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 18, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@plugsof.com.

11. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
  • Regular security reviews and monitoring of our systems.
  • Access controls that limit who within our organization can view your personal data.
  • Use of trusted, security-audited third-party infrastructure providers.

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to responding promptly to any security incidents.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Site.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we handle your data.
